Lemon marmalade is easy to prepare, only two ingredients are necessary; organic lemons and sugar. That’s really my favorite marmalade, both for the bitter taste and because it can be macthed to sweets but also to cheese.

Yesterday I was honored with a bag full of organic lemons, what better gift for those who use many like me in the kitchen? So I decided, with a part of them, to male jam but, I tell you frankly, it is alredy almost over.


•    5 organic lemons (700 grams);
•    250 grams brown sugar
Put lemons in 2 litres of water and boil it for 35-40 minutes. Take lemons out from water and cut as fine as slice making sure to remove the seeds. I moved into a saucepan and add the sugar (I used brown sugar) 35 % of the weight of 250 grams of lemons. 

lemon marmaladeTurn on low heat and stir with a wooden spoon until all the sugar has melted, cover with a lid not hermetically and cook slowly.

When the jam has been reduced take an immersion blender and shake it for a few seconds. The jam is ready when putting a little on a saucer , and tilting , join quickly without slipping.
